SCHOOL AGE
This Washington Street Community Center (WSCC) provides a safe, fun and exciting
Before- and After School Program which services both Lincoln and Steele Elementary Schools,
as well open-enrollment Holiday Camps!
We provide an environment that promotes emotional, intellectual, physical, and social-emotional growth, through an exciting and well-balanced program. Students learn from engaging hands on activities daily. In addition, staff provide homework help, academic support and develop regular community service opportunities for our students to facilitate learning of stewardship and leadership.
Nutritious and well-balanced after-school snacks are included in tuition.
WSCC accepts CCAP and private-pay families.
BEFORE-/AFTER-SCHOOL
WSCC provides Before-/After-Care for Lincoln and Steele Elementary School students.
Students engage in a variety of engaging hands-on activities daily
in a diverse community environment with monthly community events.
Centers and Open Learning activities include:
Dramatic Play, Art, Blocks, Library, Science/Sensory, Music, and Homework Help.
Additional enrichment opportunities available through our community partners!
Rates include Pick-up/Drop-off and well-balanced, nutritious afternoon snack.

Before School: 7am to 9:00am
7:00am Morning Centers, Open Learning
8:30am Staff walk students to school for
school breakfast/supervised playground time
After School: 3:30pm – 5:00pm
3:30pm - Afternoon snack
4:00pm - Homework/Quiet Choice
4:30pm - Table top Learning Centers/Active Outdoors (weather-permitting)
Steele Elementary
After School: 3:00pm – 5:00pm
3:00pm - Staff pick-up from school

3:30pm - Afternoon snack
4:00pm - Homework/Quiet Choice
4:30pm - Centers, Open Learning/ Active Outdoors (weather-permitting)
HOLIDAY CAMPS
Washington Street Community Center offers all day Holiday Camps that coincidence with DPS planned school closures for grades K-5. Full day camps allow children to participate in field trips and exciting programming designed to build relationships with peers and foster creativity!
