SCHOOL AGE

This Washington Street Community Center (WSCC) provides a safe, fun, and enriching 

after school program that services both Lincoln and Steele Elementary Schools,

as well open-enrollment for limited holiday camps and week-by-week summerville!

We provide an environment that promotes intellectual, physical, and social-emotional growth, through an inclusive and well-balanced program. Students learn and connect through engaging hands on and positive community activities daily. In addition, staff provide academic and creative support and develop regular community connection opportunities for our students to facilitate learning of stewardship and leadership. 

Nutritious and well-balanced after school snacks are included in tuition.

WSCC accepts CCAP and private-pay families.

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM

WSCC provides after school care for Lincoln and Steele Elementary School students. 

Students participate in a variety of engaging hands-on activities daily 

in a diverse community environment with monthly community events.

​

Community Learning Activities Include: 

Art, Library ("Read & Relax"), STEM & Manipulative Building, Music & Dance, Games,

and Homework Help (including integrated I.E.P needs).

WSCC impliments multiple opportunities for whole-child growth and Social Emotional Learning.

Additional enrichment opportunities available through our community partners!

Rates include school pick-up and well-balanced, nutritious afternoon snack. ​​

AFTER SCHOOL Lincoln & Steele Elementary

After School Program open any day school is in session until 6:00pm  

Steele Pick-Up: 3:05pm Lincolan Pick-Up 3:10pm

3:30-4:00pm: Afternoon snack with snack chats (community connection)

4:00-4:15pm: Read & Relax, homework (students extend when needed)

4:15pm-5:00pm: Group Focus (centers & projects)

5:00-5:45pm: Free Focus (individual choice or continue projects)

5:45-6:00pm: Clean up and prepare for next day​​​

 

HOLIDAY CAMPS

Washington Street Community Center offers select all-day Break/Holiday Camps that coincide with DPS planned school closures for grades K-5. Full day camps allow children to participate in field trips and exciting programming designed to build relationships with peers and foster creativity!
