SUMMERVILLE DAY CAMP
Our Summer is full of fun adventures and trips!
Every week your child will stretch their mind and body
while exploring a variety of themes and making lasting friendships.
Summerville runs 11 weeks, from June through August. Grades K -- 5.
(Your child must have attended kindergarten prior to enrollment.)
Families may select weeks (full/partial) or register for the full summer.
Each week has 3-4 out of the building field trips. Every Thursday is an outdoor water day.
Family Membership is optional, but includes discounted tuition, priority registration,
as well as two complimentary Community Dinner tickets,
and member rates at all WSCC events!
WEEKLY THEMES

Week 1 - June 1: Welcome to Summerville
Ring in the Summer with us by getting to know our campers and teachers by playing fun team building games and exploring our neighborhood!
Week 2 - June 8: Outdoor Explorers
Explore Colorado's natural environment by hiking local trails and parks and discovering all that Colorado’s landscape has to offer.
Week 3 - June 15: Super Science
Become a scientist by conducting exciting experiments and investigating how/why things happen!
Week 4 - June 22: Going Green with Gardening
Learn about sustainability through hands-on gardening activities and visits to local community gardens.
Week 5 - June 29: Imaginarium
Unlock your creativity and imagination during this unique camp week. Campers will stretch their imagination to bring inventions to life.
Week 6 - July 6: Art Adventures
Unleash your inner artist while visiting a variety of art collections and creating your own art using a variety of mediums, including acrylic paints, watercolors, charcoal and clay.
Week 7 - July 13: Kids in the Kitchen
Discover your own inner chef! Learn the basics of cooking and baking-all culminating in our Iron Chef cooking contest at the end of the week!
Week 8 - July 20: Fun and Fitness
Get ready to have fun and learn how to keep our bodies healthy through nutrition and physical activities.
Week 9 - July 27: Games, Games, Games!
Enjoy playing a variety of new and old games. Learn about good sportsmanship and invent your own game!
Week 10 - August 3: Summer Safari
Join our summer safari and travel to our favorite summer destinations that Colorado has to offer.
Week 11 - August 10: Farewell to Summer
Bid farewell to summer by reflecting on our favorite games and activities with our end of the year party and annual trip to Elitches!

7:00 – 9:00 DROP OFF – MORNING CENTERS, OPEN LEARNING CENTERS

9:00 – 9:30 MORNING COMMUNITY TIME
9:30-12:00 COMMUNITY EXPLORATION
Non-field trip days: Walk to Lincoln Elementary School Playground or Washington Park
12:00-12:30 LUNCH
12:30-1:00 QUIET READING TIME
1:00-3:00 AFTERNOON LEARNING WORKSHOP
Teacher Led Activities, Open Choice Centers: Including Dramatic Play, Art, Blocks, Sensory, Games, Library and STEM
3:00-3:30 SNACK
3:30-4:00 AFTERNOON COMMUNITY TIME
4:00-5:00 CRAFTS & OPEN LEARNING CENTERS

5:00-5:30 OUTDOOR PLAYGROUND OR INDOOR GAMES
5:30-6:00 TABLE TOP CHOICES/CLEAN UP
